Dillard’s Return Policy: What You Need to Know

Returns are accepted within 30 days from the date of purchase. Most returns are processed instantly. A 10-day period applies for most refunds.

Dillard’s Shipping Timeline

Most in-stock items will arrive in 2–4 weeks. If you place an order before noon Eastern Time Monday through Friday, it will probably ship out the same day. Orders placed after 12pm ET Monday through Friday will generally ship the next business day.

Items ordered on New Year’s Eve will likely take longer to ship because of increased demand.

Orders placed before 12pm EST Tuesday through Thursday will usually ship the same day. Orders placed before 12pm ET Wednesday through Sunday will usually ship the next business day. Orders placed after midnight ET Wednesday through Sunday will typically ship the following business day.

If you’re ordering multiple items, we’ll combine shipping charges into one flat fee per package.

Dillard’s Online Return Policy

Shipping fees are nonrefunded. If you receive damaged merchandise, contact customer service within 30 days of delivery. You’ll need to provide photos of the damage. Refunds take up to 10 weeks to process.

Make sure you’re shipping your return via a reputable carrier. Dillard’s doesn’t offer free shipping.

Don’t forget to attach the receipt or proof of purchase along with your return.

Are there Return Exceptions?

Card Exchange

If you are looking for a gift for someone special, look no further than the Dillard’s Gift Card Exchange program. This easy-to-use online tool allows customers to exchange unwanted gift cards for cash or merchandise.

Simply enter the information about the card you want to trade into the system, select a preferred payment method, and wait for your new card to arrive. You can even choose to receive a replacement card via email.

The process couldn’t be more straightforward. Just follow these steps:

1. Visit https://www.dillards.com/c/giftcard

2. Enter the card number and expiration date of the gift card you wish to exchange.

3. Choose how you’d like to pay by check or credit card.

4. Select the shipping address where you’d like your new card sent.

5. Click “Start Now.”

3. Keep Track Of Everything

When you return an item, you need to provide proof of purchase. This could include a copy of your original invoice, an email confirming your purchase, or even a screenshot of your payment method.
